Town Europeans Junior Football Club are holding a fundraising night on
Friday 10th September, at Shifnal Village Hall with Soul duo

LAWLEY FUN DAY - 11/09/10
To mark the occasion of Lawley Playing Field and Lawley Village Green being granted village green status the parish council is organising a Fun Day. Entry is completely free of charge. There will be lots of activities on Lawley Village Green, Lawley Playing Field and at Lawley Community Centre. Lawley Primary School is also contributing to the event and it all happens on Saturday 11th September from 12 midday until 4pm.
CHARITY FUN DAY AND NIGHT - 11/09/10
There's a charity fun day and night on the 11th September at the Haygate in Wellington, in aid of the charity STEPS. Daytime events start at 1:00 with the evening entertainment commencing at 6:00. Tickets for the eveing cost £5 and there'll be live bands, auctions, raffles, kids entertainment, a rock karaoke and disco and more.
SAMARITANS INFORMATION EVENING - 13/09/10
Telford Samaritans have been providing emotional
support for
35 years, but now the branch itself is appealing for help. The branch in King Street,
Wellington, is seeking new
members to join its dwindling army of volunteers. It is holding an information evening on
Monday, September 13 for potential volunteers to learn more about the
charity and the various ways to volunteer at the branch. The information evening,
which starts at 7.30pm and lasts up to two hours,
takes place at the branch’s premises at 115 King Street, Wellington

SALVATION ARMY ANNUAL APPEAL - 13/09/10-24/09/10
During the fortnight 13th September – 24th September members of The Salvation Army Oakengates Corps will be out and about in Telford both delivering and later collecting envelopes on behalf of The Salvation Army’s national “Annual Appeal”. In Telford Oakengates Corps runs the KIP project for homeless people over 25 years of age and with its partner group “Man in place” helps to house them too. To provide these things and to be the net through which no-one should fall, as a charity The Salvation Army depends on the money it raises during its “Annual Appeal” fortnight.
CHARITY MAN AUCTION - 16/09/10
Beau Bar in Newport are holding a Man Auction on the 16th September in aid of Faith Warren-Jones' Dolphin Dream Fund and Diabetes UK. They're looking for lads who are willing to be auctioned off for the evening in aid of the charities, and for ladies to do the bidding on the night. LADIES DRIVING CHALLENGE - 19/09/10
The Marie Curie Cancer Care Ladies Driving Challenge is back for 2010, and this year it's on the 19th September at RAF Cosford. If you'd like the chance to drive a whole number of different vehicles, it'll cost you a £10 registration fee and you'll need to raise at least £100. E-mail

ALPHA COURSE - 23/09/10
From Thursday 23rd September in the Salvation Army Hall, Lion Street, Oakengates there will be the launch of the Alpha Course. This introduction to the course asks the questions: Is there more to life than this? Is Christianity boring, untrue or irrelevant? The course lasts for 11 weeks and takes place on a Thursday evening. On the first Thursday there will be an Alpha supper and on each Thursday following those attending will share a meal. Anyone interested in joining this course should contact Telford 620263.

CHRISTMAS GRAND CHARITY BALL - 26/11/10
A Christmas Grand Charity Ball is being held at the Telford Golf & Spa Hotel on the 26th November. It's in aid of projects like Haughton Special School, The Longmynd Adventure Camp and Shropshire Deaf Children's Society. FAITH WARREN-JONES - SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS
Faith Warren-Jones is a 4 year old girl from Rodington who has the little known, and terminal illness Mabry Syndrome. Her family and friends are looking to raise £20,000 towards sending her to swim with dolphins in America .
